A previous randomized, single-blind study compared the effects of glatiramer acetate (GA) treatment alone and in combination with mitoxantrone induction (M-GA) for relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS). M-GA was associated with a nonsignificant trend toward fewer relapses and a significantly greater reduction of gadolinium-enhancing lesions compared with GA alone (Mult Scler 2008; 14:663). Now, the researchers report the comparison of MRI effects in the two treatment groups.
