Fatigue is a commonly reported symptom in myasthenia gravis (MG) patients even when clinical assessments show objective findings of disease remission. Attributing fatigue to MG is frequently difficult because of medical comorbidities and medication adverse effects.
This study was an evaluation of respiratory function and exercise capacity in 10 patients with MG (mean age, 41) who reported fatigue on a questionnaire and 10 age- and height-matched controls. Nine patients were female and nine had undergone thymectomy. Participants had no other chronic diseases.
