Learning about clinically relevant research is critical to improve patient care. Yet, the next step — changing one’s behavior — is daunting for clinicians. Traditional educational methods are not effective in changing practice. In an innovative study, researchers examined whether acceptance and commitment training (ACT) that targets psychological barriers to adopting new practices can increase the impact of subsequent educational training.
