Despite the high prevalence of emotional and behavioral problems in patients with neurological disorders and the disabling effects of these problems (JW Psychiatry Aug 31 2009), there is a paucity of well-controlled studies to guide treatment. Several studies published in the past year can help us choose safe and efficacious interventions for well-recognized disorders; other studies point to potential new approaches.
