Investigators presented results from the First-Line in Lung Cancer with Erbitux (FLEX) trial, a phase III study in which the efficacy and safety of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFr)-targeted monoclonal antibody cetuximab (Erbitux) plus chemotherapy was compared with that of chemotherapy alone in a cohort of 1125 patients with advanced non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC; J Clin Oncol 2008; 26:suppl:abstract 3).
