Marrow Involvement and Survival in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

DLBCL patients with positive bone-marrow biopsy at diagnosis had inferior overall survival compared with marrow-negative patients.

Patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and positive bone marrow biopsy at diagnosis are reported to have inferior outcomes and higher risk for central nervous system (CNS) relapse after combination chemotherapy compared with marrow-negative patients (Blood 2007; 110:1278 and Blood 1998; 91:1178).
