Dr. Eric Van Cutsem reported results of the international, randomized, CORRECT trial [Abstract 3502] of regorafenib, an oral agent that targets multiple tyrosine kinases, in patients with chemotherapy-refractory metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC). A total of 760 patients with Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status 0–1 who experienced disease progression or were intolerant of prior chemotherapy regimens were randomized 2:1 to best supportive care plus either regorafenib (160 mg daily for 3 weeks on and 1 week off) or placebo.
