A prior industry-funded, multicenter, phase I/II study showed that, among 158 patients with intermediate- and high-risk myelofibrosis, those who received the orally administered Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) and JAK2 inhibitor ruxolitinib achieved clinical benefit for ≥12 months (JW Oncol Hematol Sep 15 2010). Investigators now report longer-term outcomes for 107 patients who were treated at one of the two centers in the study (the MD Anderson Cancer Center).
