As a result of an editing error, the article “Prophylactic Platelet Transfusion in Hematologic Cancer” incorrectly stated that patients in the control arm received prophylactic platelet transfusion to maintain a morning platelet count of <10,000/mm3. The corrected version, which now appears on our website, states that patients in the control arm received prophylactic platelet transfusion if the morning platelet count was <10,000/mm3. The article also incorrectly stated that six of the seven patients who experienced bleeding events were in the no-prophylaxis arm. The corrected version states that six of the seven patients who experienced grade 3 or 4 bleeding events were in the no-prophylaxis arm.
