The primary recommendation for the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine dosing schedule is at 0, 2, and 6 months. An alternative schedule at 0, 2, and 12 months was demonstrated as noninferior in college students in a U.S study. To further investigate alternative regimens, investigators compared the immunogenicity of four HPV dosing schedules in a school-based, cluster-randomized study involving 809 Vietnamese girls aged 11 through 13 years. The standard dosing schedule of 0, 2, and 6 months was compared with three alternate dosing schedules: 0, 3, and 9 months; 0, 6, and 12 months; and 0, 12, and 24 months.
