Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) is defined as palpable purpura with lower extremity involvement and at least one of the following features: diffuse abdominal pain, arthralgia or arthritis, hematuria or proteinuria, or IgA deposits in the glomeruli. HSP is the most common systemic vasculitis in childhood and may be triggered by drugs and infections as well as vaccinations. Researchers report the first case series of HSP after influenza vaccination.
