Do menstrual patterns and vasomotor symptoms during the menopausal transition forecast the onset of menopause? As part of the Study of Women’s Health Across the Nation (JW Womens Health Jun 21 2007), investigators sought to answer this question by analyzing urinary hormonal patterns in anovulatory cycles among 159 perimenopausal women (mean age, 49). Participants collected samples for 1 cycle during each of 3 years.
