We know little about parental views on adolescent preventive care services. Researchers analyzed data from a nationally representative Web-based survey of 1025 parents of adolescents (age range, 9–17). Parents were asked to indicate which of 18 topics were very important for doctors to discuss during adolescent well-patient visits and to rate the importance of having adolescents spend time alone with their doctors. Parents also provided demographic information about themselves and their oldest adolescents.
