The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine is routinely recommended for 11- to 12-year-old girls in the U.S.; however, parental acceptance of the vaccine can vary with ethnicity. Researchers assessed HPV vaccine knowledge, attitudes, and acceptability among 750 women in the six most populous ethnic minority groups and 200 white women in the U.K. Data were collected during face-to-face interviews after provision of appropriate translations of HPV vaccine informed-consent materials.
