Healthcare providers play a critical role in disseminating accurate information about influenza vaccination. Investigators at two U.S. teaching hospitals surveyed 267 healthcare workers concerning their attitudes and knowledge about influenza vaccination during pregnancy. Participants were registered nurses, nursing and medical assistants, receptionists, and clinical administrators; settings were emergency departments, antepartum units, a hospital-based obstetrics and gynecology clinic, and private practice Ob-Gyn offices. Data were collected from September 2006 through March 2007 (i.e., before the H1N1 pandemic began).
