Despite the prevalence and harms of intimate partner violence, no clear benefit of universal screening has been demonstrated (JW Womens Health Aug 27 2009). Now, one more study confirms these findings. A total of 2700 women (mean age, 39; 55% non-Latina black, 37% Latina; 57% uninsured) who sought primary care in eight public and two private urban healthcare settings in Illinois were randomized into three groups.
