A Clinical Practice Update on Managing Gastric Polyps

Endoscopists discover incidental gastric polyps in almost 10% of esophageal gastroduodenoscopies (EGDs; Figure 1). Although overall incidence of subsequent malignancy is low, risks vary greatly based on pathology results. In this review, approved by the American Gastroenterological Association Clinical Updates Committee, experts provide practical guidance on the epidemiology, classification, and surveillance of gastric polyps.
