Lifestyle interventions have shown promise as a supportive treatment for psoriasis, but prior evidence is observational. This randomized trial, conducted in Spain, evaluated the Mediterranean diet in people with psoriasis using the PASI score, a standardized instrument in which a clinician evaluator grades the extent and severity of skin lesions. Psoriasis treatments are generally considered effective when they result in a 75% reduction in the PASI score.
