Carlos del Rio, M.D., is the H. Cliff Sauls Distinguished Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Chair of the Department of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine and Co-Director of the Emory Center for AIDS Research. His research interests include the early diagnosis of HIV, linkage to and retention in HIV care, and prevention of HIV infection. In addition, Dr. del Rio's interests include the optimization of HIV management in resource-constrained settings
