Dr. Soloway is a board-certified family physician who practiced and taught family medicine in outpatient and inpatient settings in the Bronx for over 35 years. In 1991, he coauthored one of the earliest monographs on primary care of patients living with HIV/AIDS. Later, he worked on developing advanced primary care and the patient-centered medical home in family medicine teaching practices, with particular interests in panel management and integrated behavioral health services. From 1998 through 2006, he served as Chair of Family Medicine at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, and from 2006 through 2017, he served as Vice Chair of the Department of Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
