Founding Editor

Dr. Komaroff is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He served for 15 years as Director of the Division of General Medicine and Primary Care at Brigham and Women's Hospital; was the hospital's Vice President for Management Systems; was for 18 years the editor-in-chief of the Harvard Health Publications division of Harvard Medical School; and is the Founding Editor of NEJM Journal Watch and NEJM Journal Watch General Medicine. He maintained a primary care medical practice for 44 years. Dr. Komaroff remains an NIH-supported investigator, and has published more than 280 research articles and book chapters, and two books; has served on advisory committees for the Surgeon General, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke/NIH, and the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine; and has been elected to fellowship in the American College of Physicians and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
