Joel M. Gore, MD, is the Edward Budnitz Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester. Chosen in 1992 as the second faculty member to serve in this endowed position, Dr. Gore is also a practicing cardiologist with interests in clinical cardiology, particularly prevention and acute coronary syndromes. He has been a principal investigator on the Worcester Heart Attack Study and co-chair of the scientific advisory committee for the GRACE study. Dr. Gore was a member of the NEJM Journal Watch Cardiology Editorial Board from 2000 to 2018.
