Mary E. Wilson, M.D., is Clinical Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco; Adjunct Professor of Global Health and Population, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Boston; and author of Antibiotics: What Everyone Needs to Know (Oxford University Press; 2019). Her academic interests include tuberculosis, ecology of infections, emergence of new infections, determinants of disease distribution, travel medicine, and vaccines. She has served on the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices of the CDC and the Academic Advisory Committee for the National Institute of Public Health in Mexico and is a medical editor for the CDC’s Health Information for International Travel.
