Dr. Calderon is Academic Chair, Department of Internal Medicine, and Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO, and Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is actively involved in all aspects of the residency training program. His interests include the use of ultrasound in medicine, simulation (particularly as it relates to procedural training), evidence-based medicine, resident education, and health care equality. Dr. Calderon has held a number of leadership positions at Saint Joseph Hospital, including Director of Continuing Medical Education and Cochair of the hospital-wide Simulation Committee. He is a founding member of the hospital’s GME Simulation/Procedural Skills Lab. He is a graduate of SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn and completed a combined residency at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
