Dr. Coblyn is Vice Chair of Medicine and Clinical Chief of Rheumatology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins Medical Schools and did his Internal Medicine training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and at Stanford. He is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Coblyn’s clinical practice includes outpatient and inpatient consultative rheumatology, and he continues to attend on the general medical service. He is engaged in teaching at all levels of medical training; his areas of focus include quality in rheumatology practice and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Coblyn was a member of the NEJM Journal Watch Arthritis and Rheumatology board from 2006 to 2020 and wrote for NEJM Journal Watch General Medicine from 2013 to 2023.
