Lauren M. Westafer is faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School — Baystate. She is a fellow in the Institute of Healthcare Delivery and Population Science. Dr. Westafer's work focuses on dissemination and implementation, specifically related to the workup of pulmonary embolism. She joined the editorial board of NEJM Journal Watch Emergency Medicine in 2018 and served until the publication’s closure in 2020.
