An overview of the 2025 Clinical Practice Guideline Update by the Infectious Diseases Society of America on the Treatment and Management of COVID-19: Antiviral Treatment for Mild to Moderate COVID-19 in Adults
The risk for severe disease and mortality associated with Covid-19 decreased over time due to increased population immunity. A panel of experts recently reviewed the evidence for treating mild to moderate Covid-19 (i.e., no hypoxia or need for supplemental oxygen) and provided guidance on the use of nirmatrelvir–ritonavir, remdesivir, and molnupiravir.
