The BMJ (formerly the British Medical Journal) has been publishing a series of practice guidelines called “Rapid Recommendations.” This latest guideline addresses interventional procedures for noncancer cervical or lumbosacral spine pain lasting >3 months. It was created by a panel that included physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, anesthesiologists, rheumatologists, and general internists; panelists represented North America, Europe, Australia, and China.
