Dear Readers,
On behalf of the editorial board, I am pleased to introduce the NEJM Journal Watch Neurology Top Stories of 2023. We have seen practice-changing advances in the treatment of Alzheimer dementia and stroke, as well as in the diagnosis of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody–associated disease and Guillain-Barré syndrome. In addition, practice guidelines for the determination of brain death were updated this year. Finally, studies exploring novel treatment approaches for myasthenia gravis, Parkinson disease, and migraine were published this year to better inform our clinical practice. On behalf of all of us at NEJM Journal Watch Neurology, I wish you and yours a safe, healthy, and happy 2024!
