Pope Francis suggested to reporters on Thursday that women could use artificial contraception to avoid getting pregnant during the Zika outbreak, the Associated Press reports. However, the Catholic Church would not condone abortion, he said. Zika infections have increased in the Americas concurrently with cases of microcephaly.
