The CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices gave a weak endorsement to the live attenuated influenza vaccine, marketed as FluMist, for the 2018–19 flu season, NBC News reports.
The last two seasons, ACIP declined to endorse the vaccine because it was not effective against the H1N1 strain.
The manufacturer reformulated the H1N1 component and expects it to be more effective next year.
