New Female Sexual Desire Drug Gets Price Tag

Bremelanotide (marketed as Vyleesi) — an injectable drug approved in June for premenopausal women with generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder — will carry a list price of $899, Reuters reports.

The drug will be available in September. The manufacturer said it will begin by offering the first package of auto-injectors for free, with subsequent refills costing the patient, at most, $99, according to Reuters.
