Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) has become the standard approach for sampling pancreatic mass lesions. However, studies of its accuracy have shown variability in both sensitivity (range, 50%–100%) and specificity (range, 88%–100%).
