Data are limited regarding trends in adenoma detection rates (ADRs) during the era of colonoscopy quality improvement.
In the current cross-sectional study, researchers described ADR trends using data from the gastroenterology practice management group (GPMG), a consortium of 13 large gastroenterology practices that represents 370 gastroenterologists from geographically diverse locations in the U.S.
The data described were at the level of centers and not individual endoscopists, and they were not subdivided by colonoscopy indication (screening vs. surveillance for diagnostic indication).
