A farewell from Editor-in-Chief Ron Walls

Dear readers,

Happy New Year! I hope you had a restful and memorable holiday, surrounded by loved ones. The New Year often brings change, and this year brings a very big change for me. On January 1, 2015, I began a new role as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Brigham and Women's Healthcare, the hospital for which I have served as Chair of Emergency Medicine for over 21 years. I am very excited by this new opportunity, but, sadly, it will require me to turn the page on some of my most wonderful and fulfilling activities, including my duties as Editor-in-Chief of NEJM Journal Watch Emergency Medicine.
