Some patients with relapsed or refractory Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) can be cured by combination chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT), and those with negative positron-emission tomography (PET) status prior to transplantation have higher cure rates than those with positive PET status. Now, investigators have conducted an industry-funded, single-center, open-label phase II trial to test the use of PET-adapted reinduction therapy with the anti-CD30 drug-antibody conjugate brentuximab vedotin (BV) in patients with relapsed or refractory HL who had received prior treatment with an anthracycline-based chemotherapy regimen with or without radiotherapy.
