Background and Objective
Management recommendations for low-grade dysplasia (LGD) and high-grade dysplasia (HGD) in Barrett esophagus (BE) are specifically addressed in guidelines from U.S. and British gastroenterological societies; however, they are somewhat dated and may not be generalizable to populations around the world. An international expert consensus group has set evidence-based recommendations for management of BE with no dysplasia, indefinite for dysplasia (IND), or with LGD that are intended for a worldwide audience.
