Although a recent report suggested that Absorb, an everolimus-eluting, fully bioresorbable vascular scaffold (BVS), was noninferior to the gold-standard everolimus-eluting metallic stent (DES), the findings raised concern about the short-term limitations (NEJM JW Cardiol Dec 2015 and N Engl J Med 2015 Oct 12; [e-pub]).
