Healthcare supports previously provided only in hospitals are now available in the patient's home and other nonhospital settings. The benefits of such settings include lower cost, greater comfort, and avoidance of hospital-related risks. Adult patients are frequently discharged to home or other facilities, but for children, usage rates of these services are unknown.
