Large datasets with long-term follow-up offer insights into the natural history of disease. Such information has always been important, but it is becoming more actionable, particularly in hormone receptor–positive breast cancer, for which consideration is given to longer durations of adjuvant endocrine therapy and molecular assays are being developed to help identify patients most appropriate for long-term treatment.
