In stage IV colorectal cancer, RAS mutation predicts resistance to epidermal growth factor- receptor (EGFR)-targeted therapy, and BRAF mutation leads to a more aggressive clinical course and poorer survival. However, the prognostic impact of KRAS and BRAF mutations in stage III colon cancer remains uncertain.
