The emergency department (ED) assessment of chest pain score accelerated diagnostic pathway (EDACS-ADP) was developed and validated in an Australian cohort in 2014 (Emerg Med Australas 2014; 26:34). This tool uses age, sex, patient history, and presenting signs and symptoms, in addition to electrocardiogram (ECG) findings and cardiac troponin (cTn) levels at 0 and 2 hours after arrival to risk stratify patients for their likelihood of a having a 30-day major adverse cardiac event. Patients with a higher score (score range, −10 to 34) have a higher risk. An EDACS <16 in a stable patient with a nonischemic ECG and nonelevated serial cTn is considered low risk.
