Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has been a major advance in the management of aortic stenosis, allowing treatment of many individuals who were not candidates for traditional aortic valve replacement surgery. However, relatively little information is available on potential infectious complications associated with TAVI. Investigators at one academic medical center undertook a retrospective cohort analysis of patients who underwent TAVI between January 2012 and March 2015.
