Dr. Paul Sax discusses two recently published pieces in the New England Journal of Medicine on hospitalists in his latest HIV and ID Observations blog post. The articles, which have diametrically opposing perspectives, should be “required reading,” Dr. Sax says, for anyone practicing medicine or who could someday be a patient in a U.S. hospital.
