The ACC and AHA have updated their 2008 performance and quality measures on atrial fibrillation (AF), the most common cardiac arrhythmia in the United States, and atrial flutter. This 2016 update contains 24 measures — 6 on performance and 18 on quality — for both inpatient and outpatient settings (the 2008 measures focused only on outpatients).
