Substance use disorders (SUDs) and anxiety are commonly comorbid in bipolar disorder. Some studies indicate that quetiapine may improve mood in patients with bipolar disorder and comorbid anxiety; none have explored effects of quetiapine in patients with bipolar disorder plus anxiety and SUD.
