Surviving a cardiac arrest depends on its prompt recognition and the implementation of resuscitative efforts. Using data on 470 U.S. hospitals from the Get with the Guidelines Resuscitation registry, researchers examined temporal trends and survival after in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA), including differences between ICHA during on-hours (Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–10:59 pm) and off-hours (Monday–Friday, 11:00 pm–6:59 am and throughout the weekend).
