Background and Objective: Recent guidelines from the U.S. and Europe provide recommendations for the management of antiplatelet and anticoagulant agents in patients who require endoscopic procedures. The current guideline is based on a systematic review of the literature and was developed partly to address identified insufficiencies of existing guidelines with regard to practice realities and population needs in the Asian Pacific Region.
