Objective: KDIGO has updated its 2009 recommendations (Kidney Int Suppl 2009; 113:S1) on evaluating and treating patients with mineral and bone disorders associated with CKD (CKD-BMD), particularly managing serum phosphate, calcium, and parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels in adults with glomerular filtration rates (GFR) <60 mL/minute/1.73 m2.
