The Seattle Angina Questionnaire (SAQ) was originally developed in a predominately male population and was never specifically validated in women. Still, through the years, it has been used extensively in both men and women. These authors, including the SAQ copyright owner, compared its performance in 8440 men and 3952 women with ischemic heart disease.
